Our Storey

Merced Custom Motorcycles was founded by J.S. Storey in 1974 out of a garage and fueled by a true love of motorcycles. Since then it has grown into a local staple for motorcycle enthusiasts looking for rare parts and quality service. J.S.’s passion for motorcycles started when he got his first Triumph and began customizing it. His love of the old and new continued to be apparent to every customer until his sudden passing in July 2017.

Luckily for the motorcycle community he imparted his passion for motorcycles on his son, Joel Storey. Motorcycles were Joel’s first love. You can see his commitment to quality shine through as he treats each bike like his own. In recent years Joel’s responsibility at the shop has expanded and he takes seriously the responsibility he has to his customers. Joel strives to offer every customer reasonably priced parts and services with genuine customer service satisfaction. Joel understands how important it is to be available to his customers, and he is committed to offering a wide range of parts and services.
